The Covenant Network of Presbyterians is a broad-based, national group of clergy and lay leaders working for a church that is simultaneously faithful, just, and whole. The Covenant Network seeks to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ by working for the unity of the church, furthering the inclusion of LGBTQ persons, seeking understanding and reconciliation, and joining with others seeking a still more just and inclusive church.

Description:
Scott Anderson interviewed by Samantha Piccolo (Presbyterian Historical Society, Director of Development). Anderson is a Presbyterian minister, serving as pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church (Madison, Wis.) since 2016. Born in Sacramento, California in 1955, Anderson was ordained in 1983. In 1990, a member of his congregation outed him, forcing him to set aside his ordination. He later served as executive director of the California Council of Churches, and executive director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches. In 2011, Anderson returned to ordained ministry.

Jerry Andrews, Presbyterian minister, was born and raised in Detroit, Mich. He was senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) from 1992 to 2009, and of First Presbyterian Church (San Diego, Calif.) since 2009. From 1992 on, Andrews was an organizer and moderator of conservative Presbyterian groups, the Genevans, the Fellowship of Presbyterians, and ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.

The proposed amendment asked those who were called to office in the church to live "in obedience to Jesus Christ, under the authority of Scripture and instructed by the historic confessional standards of the church." David B. Smith is a Presbyterian minister, serving Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church (Bryn Mawr, Pa.). He grew up in western North Carolina, and attended Montreat College and Montreat Presbyterian Church (Montreat, N.C.). Lisa Larges, a 1989 graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary, was first denied ordination as a minister of word and sacrament in 1993. She joined That All May Freely Serve in 2002, serving as regional coordinator, and later as minister coordinator. Her ordination by the Presbytery of San Francisco in 2009 was challenged and spent three years in Synod and GAPJC proceedings. In 2016, she was ordained as a teaching elder at the Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church (Minneapolis, MN).

Description:
Daniel Vigilante graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2004, where he joined the student group Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Supporters (BGLASS). He was ordained by Westminster Presbyterian Church on August 25, 2013, becoming one of the first openly gay Presbyterian ministers to be ordained in Minnesota. In the early 2000s, he became actively involved in the Covenant Network, primarily working with Youth Advisory Delegates at General Assembly.
