Bertram Johnson became the first openly gay African American to be ordained
as a pastor in the PC(USA) in 2014. He grew up Baptist, attended Mt. Baker
Park Presbyterian Church (Seattle, Washington), and was ordained at Madrona
Grace Presbyterian Church (Seattle, Washington) as a Teaching Elder in 2014.
