Nelson, of St. Paul, Minn., is shown during a visit to a camp for Germans who are to be deported from Slovakia to Germany. Nr. Nelson’s visit was made on a tour of Slovakia under the auspices of the American Section of the Lutheran World Convention and the World Council of Churches. He brought $20,000 of relief money for the Slovak Lutheran Church, and after his tour appealed for $33,000 more.
