GUESTS VATICAN CITY -- Pope Paul VI received some 70 Protestant and Eastern
Orthodox delegate-observers and guests attending the Vatican Council’s
third session, and was introduced to each churchman individually. Shown here
are, left to right: Dr. William B. Blakemore, dean of the Disciples of
Divinity House, University of Chicago; Dr. William G. Baker, lecturer in
practical theology, Scottish Congregational College, Edinburgh, Scotland;
Augustin Cardinal Bea, president of the Vatican Secretariat for Promoting
Christian Unity, which invited the observers and guests; Pope Paul; and
Bishop Jan Willebrands, secretary of the unity secretariat. Dr. Blakemore and
Dr. Baker represented the World Convention of Churches of Christ (Disciples)
