CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy -- A turbaned African girl kisses Pope Paul's ring at
a papal audience granted to a group of Congolese students. The Pope expressed
to the students that his "worry" and "uneasiness" over the political
situation in the Congo. He said he would pray "fervently and incessantly" for
peace and concord in the African nation. Without peace, he said, there can be
"no development of great material, cultural and religious resources." The
