Text transcribed from caption: #429 METHODIST PASTOR SERVES JEWISH TROOPS
First Lieutenant Harmon B. Moore, Army protestant (Methodist) chaplain,
delivering the evening sermon for Jewish troops of the U.S. Marine Corps and
Army, at their Friday evening joint services held in a jungle chapel at a
Southwest Pacific base. Chaplain Moore delivered the sermon in the absence of
the chaplain-rabbi, whose circuit covers a half-dozen islands and bases.
Chaplain Moore is a qualified parachutist. Prior to entering the service, he
held a pastorate at a Methodist church in Childersburg, Ala. Second
