Text transcribed from caption: C-30730 POPE RECEIVES NUNS EXPELLED FROM SUDAN VATICAN CITY -- Pope Paul VI (back to camera) talks to a group of nuns on their arrival in Rome after being forced out of Sudan by the predominantly Muslim country. Earlier the Pope granted a special audience to missionary priests from the Sudan who also were expelled. About 200 Catholic missionaries, most of them Italian, have arrived in Rome from southern Sudan. The regime claimed they had been involved in anti-state activities and created disturbances, charges vehemently denied by the missionaries.
