Iowa -- Students of the State University of Iowa here discuss the effects of
newspapers, movies, radio and literature on American prejudices during a
weekly broadcast over station WSUI. Left side (front to rear) are: Helen
Zimmerman, Waterloo, Iowa; Florence Christiansen, Roselle, N.J.; and Julius
Spivack, Waterloo. Right side (front to rear): Vicki Van Duzer, Waterloo;
Donald N. Kreymer, Iowa City; and Rabbi Morris Kertzer, originator and
instructor of the seminar. Rabbi Kertzer started the course in 1939 in an
effort to establish a clinical study of the causes of race and religious
