Shown here are some of the works of Mrs. Clare Booth Luce, former Ambassador to Italy, novelist and onetime Congresswoman. A convert to Catholicism, she has given many of her mosaics dedicated to Mary to churches and parochial schools near her home at Scottsdale, Ariz. Below, right, Mrs. Luce confers with her pastor, Father John P. Doran of St. Thomas the Apostle church, Phoenix. At top left, her mosaic of the Blessed Mother is shown on the outside wall of her parish church. At upper right, the Annunciation as it appears on the church’s front wall.
