Text transcribed from caption: ARCHBISHOP OF PRAGUE #C-4800 PRAGUE -- An implacable foe of Nazi doctrine who spent five years in Dachau and other German concentration camps, Msgr. Joseph Beran (above) is the new Archbishop of Prague, thirty-third prelate to occupy the post. His appointment by Pope Pius XII was made to fill a vacancy that has existed since the death of the late Karl Cardinal Kasper in April, 1941. Msgr.
