Guitar-playing Salvationist.
Text transcribed from caption: P-30621 GUITAR-PLAYING SALVATIONIST LONDON -- Salvation Army Capt. Joy Webb, composer of two religious songs with a "twist" beat, strums her guitar during a recording session in Middlesex, England. The attractive brunette and a group of male and female voices recorded the tunes which featured guitars and drums. Her "pop" songs were "It's an Open Secret," and "We're Going to Set the Whole World A' Singing." Capt. Webb said the songs were "as near as we dare go to a commercial sound." Proceeds form [sic. from] sale of the records will go to the Army's work. Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE PHOTO (W-2C-64-NAB)
