- Historic meeting of Korea Mission in 1897 at which, with Dr. Robert E. Speer present, an educational policy to fit the Nevius Method was adopted. This vitally effected [sic] the character of all Presbyterian work in Korea and contributed to the explosive growth of the Korean Church from 1900 on. It was repudiated by the Board in N.Y. in 1914.

- Description
- Historic meeting of Korea Mission in 1897 at which, with Dr. Robert E. Speer present, an educational policy to fit the Nevius Method was adopted. This vitally effected [sic] the character of all Presbyterian work in Korea and contributed to the explosive growth of the Korean Church from 1900 on. It was repudiated by the Board in N.Y. in 1914.

- History of Presbyterian mission work and missionaries in Korea. Mission work began in 1884 and was primarily medical and educational. Early mission work centered in Seoul and Pyengyang and eventually nine stations were established. Work was done in cooperation with several other denominations, including Methodists and Southern, Canadian, and Australian Presbyterians.
