- Description
- Two nuns attended the section dealing with \u201ctreatment of religious viewpoints in the public school curriculum\u201d attracted three times as many delegates and observers as any other group meeting at the National Conference on Religion and Public Education held under the auspices of the National Council of Churches. The section divided into three smaller groups to discuss curriculum and one of them is shown here. At end in background are the section chairman, Dr. Harold A. Pflug of Webster Grove, Mo., and on his right, the recorder, Mrs. Gerald Walsh of Syracuse, N.Y.

- Text transcribed from caption: C-31701 SHE’LL PRAY FOR THE METS, CASEY ST. LOUIS -- The go-go-go manager of the New York Mets, an organization often but not always referred to as a professional baseball team, is halted for an autograph in St. Louis. Casey Stengel, who paid for tickets to the 1964 World Series after 10 years of spectating on the house, signs on the dotted line in St. Louis for Sister Maura, Glenmary Sisters.
