- Text transcribed from caption: P-30452 FIRST NEGRO IN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD MISSIONS WORK SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The first Negro to receive a service assignment from the Assemblies of God Foreign Mission Department is the Rev. Robert Harrison, left, shown here with the noted evangelist, Dr. Billy Graham. Mr. Harrison has served with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association since 1948. It was announced at Assemblies of God missions headquarters at Springfield, Mo., that he would conduct evangelistic campaigns in British Honduras and Jamaica during January and February.
