- Correspondence from 1897 through 1923 for the American Indian Institute, a Native American-run college preparatory school in Wichita, Kansas. Primarily correspondence of Henry Roe Cloud, a Ho-Chunk Native American and Presbyterian minister. Some correspondence relate to the lots donated to the American Indian Institute for the construction of the school. Also contains correspondence between Henry Roe Cloud and the Department of the Interior Office of Indian Affairs related to monies donated for the founding of the Institute and the Native American Indian communities in the western states whose children may be served by the Institute.
