Norman Pell, former evangelism director for the Baptist Union of Victoria, Australia, and national director of the Christian Endeavor Movement in the country, has become a permanent member of Evangelist Billy Graham's organization. In recent months he has been working in Canada with the Rev. Leighton Ford, Mr. Graham's brother-in-law, and will direct a Leighton Ford Crusade in November in Vancouver. - Text transcribed from caption: #429 METHODIST PASTOR SERVES JEWISH TROOPS First Lieutenant Harmon B. Moore, Army protestant (Methodist) chaplain, delivering the evening sermon for Jewish troops of the U.S. Marine Corps and Army, at their Friday evening joint services held in a jungle chapel at a Southwest Pacific base. Chaplain Moore delivered the sermon in the absence of the chaplain-rabbi, whose circuit covers a half-dozen islands and bases. Chaplain Moore is a qualified parachutist. Prior to entering the service, he held a pastorate at a Methodist church in Childersburg, Ala. Second Lieutenant Julian C. Levinson of Denver, Colo., is at the right.
