- New-found Michelangelo masterpiece.

- Text transcribed from caption: PC-30703 NEW-FOUND MICHELANGELO MASTERPIECE FLORENCE, Italy -- Discovered in a monastery here in 1962, this wooden figure of Christ on the Cross was carved by Michelangelo when the great Renaissance painter and sculptor was only 17. It was known that Michelangelo had carved such a work in his youth, but had been presumed lost or destroyed. It was found in a corner of the monastery, covered by daubs of paint.
