The troops reportedly picked up two priests from the monastery who were accompanying two jailbreakers in clerical garb. - Description
- This was the scene in Westminster's Church House as the Convocations of Canterbury and York held joint sessions at which they voted overwhelmingly to advance negotiations toward a merger of the Anglican and Methodist Churches in England. Sitting at a large table in the center of the hall is Dr. Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury. To his left is Dr. Frederick Coggan, Archbishop of York.
