- Text transcribed from caption: #858 CZECH CATHOLICS PAY HOMAGE TO ST. WENCESLAS For the first time since the German annexation, Prague Catholics staged traditional ceremonies to honor St. Wenceslas, protector of Czechoslovakia. Born in 908, Wenceslas, Duke of Bohemia, promoted the conversion of his country to Christianity, but as slain by his brother Boleslav in 929. Vicar Capitular Theophilus Opatrny is shown standing before the statue of St. Wenceslas during the ceremonies.
