Sorensen, of Philadelphia (left), newly-elected president of the Catholic War Veterans, exchanges congratulations with John C. James of Lafayette, La., a national trustee of the CWV, following their election at the organization’s convention here. Sorensen, father of nine children, was born in Denmark and is believed to be the first naturalized citizen to head a major veterans service agency.
