- Donaldina Cameron, head of the Occidental Board of Foreign Missions in San Francisco, which rescued Chinese immigrant girls and women from sex trafficking. Text transcribed from caption: Miss Donaldina Cameron, a San Francisco woman who is not especially popular with certain classes of Chinamen. For twenty years she has been in charge of the rescue work of the Occidental Board of Foreign Missions in San Francisco, and in that time she has rescued from slavery 1,500 Chinese girls.
