Workshops were led by professional social workers from the division of aging of Catholic Social Services. Topics discussed in the various sessions of the course included participation of senior citizens in the many cultural, recreational and educational programs offered through the facilities of public and nonprofit agencies within the area, how to locate and properly utilize health care and other social welfare programs, how to organize for political action, and other matters of interest and concern to persons past retirement age.
