- Text transcribed from caption: #PEP-18688. QUEEN ATTENDS SERVICE IN NIGERIA. LAGOS, NIGERIA -- Queen Elizabeth II leaves the Cathedral Church of Christ here after attending a service of commemoration for members of the Royal West African Frontier Force who died during World War II. With her are the Most Rev. James L. C. Horstead, Anglican Archbishop of West Africa; and his chaplain who is holding the Primatial Cross of the Province of West Africa. The sermon was preached by Dr. A. W. Howells, Bishop of Lagos; and the lesson read by the Duke of Edinburgh, who accompanied his wife on her visit.
