Bridgeman, a veteran of 20 years service in the Near East, has joined the staff of Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church here. Canon Bridgeman, a native of New York, was Archdeacon of Syria and Lebanon of the Church of England and Honorary Canon of St. George’s Cathedral in Jerusalem. He taught at the Theological Seminary of the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem and was American educational chaplain, representing the Episcopal Church. - Text transcribed from caption: LEAVES FOR AFRICA CONFERENCE #3326 NEW YORK -- Dr. Emory Ross, executive secretary of the Africa Committee of the Foreign Missions Conference of North America, has left here for a four and one-half month’s trip to Africa. He will visit eight African countries in the interests of mission rehabilitation and education. High spot will be the West Central Africa Regional Conference on Missions at Leopoldville, Belgian Congo, July 13-24. Dr. Ross served as a missionary in Africa from 1912-1933.
