- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: C-30713 HENRY WALLACE VISITS MARYKNOLL EXPERIMENTAL FARM HUEHUETENANGO, Guatemala -- Former Vice President Henry A. Wallace took time out from a conference of the Central American Cooperative Project for Better Corn in Guatemala to tour the experimental farm operated by the Maryknoll Fathers at Huehuetenango. Here, Mr. Wallace, an agricultural expert whose experimental farm is located at Somers, N.Y., near Maryknoll Mission headquarters, chats with a Guatemalan mother and child and with Brother Carl Puls, right, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who directs the St. Joseph Agriculture Project. The 75-year-old former Vice President praised farm activities helping farmers to grow larger crops of better corn and urged continued effort to produce seed of the highest quality.
