- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: P-31410 WORSHIPPERS GREET DAWN IN BADLANDS SOUTH DAKOTA -- Worshippers from a nearby trailer-tent city of vacationers devoutly greet the dawn in the spectacular arid setting of South Dakota's badlands. Leading the service is David Johnson of Denison, Iowa, a graduate of Dubuque (Ia.) Seminary who will be ordained as a minister of the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. He is one of some 200 college and seminary students conducting a Christian ministry to more than one million vacationing Americans under the Ministry in the National Parks program of the National Council of Churches.
