- Text transcribed from caption: P-30656 INTEGRATION LEADER WELCOMED HONOLULU -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Baptist minister and integration leader, receives traditional leis on his arrival in Hawaii. In addition to addressing University of Hawaii students, Dr. King spoke to state legislators and other government officials attending the "God and Country" service at Kawaihao church [sic. KawaiahaŹ»o Church], the "Westminster Abbey" of Hawaii. His visit was sponsored jointly by the Honolulu Council of Churches and the University Associated Students.
