- Seminary fights volcanic ash.
- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: P-30655 SEMINARY FIGHTS VOLCANIC ASH SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- The Latin American Biblical Seminary in San Jose has had a sizeable cleanup problem for the past year in removing volcanic ash from its roof and other parts of the building. The ash falls on the city at intervals from the Irazu volcano about 15 miles away. A seminary worker is shown clearing away some of the fallout from a roof gutter -- a job that must be done regularly. Officials of the seminary, sponsored by the Latin American Mission of San Jose, say the ash is not a menace, but a perennial nuisance. The Seminary prepares Christian workers for Spanish-speaking nations. Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE PHOTO (LAM-2D-64-NAB)
