- Text transcribed from caption: BAPTIST RETIRE CHAPEL CAR #S-3420 CHICAGO, Ill. -- Chicago’s Baptists have bidden farewell to one of the last vestiges of a vanishing era in American life--a “chapel” car. A historic relic of Frontier Christianity, the “church on wheels” owned by the Northern Baptist Convention was on exhibition here before making its last trip to the convention’s assembly ground at Green Lake, Wisconsin. Known as “Grace” the car contained pulpit, organ, pews for 65 worshippers and a three-room apartment for the minister and his family. - Text transcribed from caption: P-30539 CHRISTIAN CENTURY EDITOR TO RETIRE CHICAGO -- Dr. Harold Fey, editor of The Christian Century, ecumenical weekly published at Chicago, will retire effective next Aug. 31, ending 24 years as an associate editor and editor with the publication. He will become visiting professor of Christian social ethics at the Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Ind., beginning in September, and also will continue as a contributing editor to the Christian Century.
