Jackson of Chicago, president of the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc., is welcomed on arriving in Detroit for the denomination's annual meeting. With him is Dr. Mary O. Ross, president of the denominational women's auxiliary. With about 5,500,000 members, the Convention is the largest Negro church group in this country.
