In the course of a long life spent in religious, social and educational work, Dr. Lidgett has been vice-chancellor of London University and a leader of the London County Council. The inter-denominational assembly drew thousands more who, unable to enter the stadium, went to nearby churches where loud-speaking equipment had been installed. In background above is shown the massed choir of 1,200 representing 200 Toronto and district churches. Orchestra is the Toronto Symphony.
