- Church schools provide summer interests.
- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: 4077 CHURCH SCHOOLS PROVIDE SUMMER INTERESTS PITTSBURGH, Penn. -- Summer church schools, growing in popularity since the turn of the century, are once more in full swing throughout the country. Here Carol Schultise displays articles made by youngsters attending combined classes of the Mt. Zion and Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran churches. There are from 150 to 200 churches conducting vacation schools in the Pittsburgh area alone. The idea also has extended to Canada and China.
