Sockman, minister of Christ Methodist Church, New York (left), and Dr. Louie D. Newton, president of the Southern Baptist Convention (third from right). The delegation is composed of seven Americans active in behalf of the American Society for Russian Relief. They were invited to make the tour by the Soviet Government and the Soviet Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Other members of the group are (left to right): Louis Levine, member of the executive board of the World Jewish Congress; Mrs. LaFell Dickinson, president of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs; Peter Grimm, president of the New York State Chamber of Commerce and treasurer of the American Society for Russian Relief; Dr. Edward Young, Boston surgeon and chairman of the executive committee of the Cabot Memorial Fund, and Fred Myers, executive director of the American Society for Russian Relief.
