Fountain, 34, an American Baptist medical missionary in the Congo, was cited as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of 1964 by the U. S. Junior Chamber of Commerce in Tulsa. He is shown removing an arrow from the back of a Congolese Army soldier in Vanga who had been ambushed by rebels.
