ESPANOLA, N.M. -- The Rev. and Mrs. Ben Yelvington, top right, Southern Baptist missionaries of Espanola, N.M., meet with Mrs. Jackie Jones, a Pueblo Indian, and Dr. Randy Spiers, a language specialist to check Pueblo language translation of a Bible verse and later watch artist Nora Sue Naranjo fashion a piece of Indian pottery, during visits to congregants in rural New Mexico villages. The missionaries regularly minister to seven northern New Mexico tribes along the Rio Grande River, while also serving the local Santa Clara Church.
