- Title
- Pyongyang Station group photograph.
- Description
- Pyongyang Station. Taken in the Swallens' yard the fall or winter of 1923-1924. The Swallen house in the background was one of the early missionary residences in Pyongyang. The Rev. Graham Lee adapted the basic Korean bungalow style to install such comforts as stoves, closets, cupboards, etc. Mr. Lee experimented in this case by building in one second story room. In rear may be seen "Daddy" Swallen's famous Model T Ford in which he and Mrs. Swallen visited rural churches bringing many blessings and great clouds of dust.
