- Moscow--Seven of nine American Protestant leaders on a ten-day visit to Moscow go sight-seeing in Red Square accompanied by a Russian Orthodox churchman and two interpreters. - Text transcribed from caption: PC-30645 PATRIARCH ALEXEI GREETS WCC EXECUTIVES MOSCOW -- Patriarch Alexei of Moscow, supreme head of the Russian Orthodox Church (seated, right), hailed deepening contacts between his Church and the World Council of Churches in a meeting at Moscow with Dr. Franklin Clark Fry, chairman of the WCC Central and Executive Committees and president of the Lutheran Church in America, and other WCC executives. Between the Patriarch and Dr. Fry is Metropolitan Nikodim of Leningrad, head of the foreign section of the Moscow Patriarchate. Patriarch Alexei declared that theological conversations are bringing closer "the day when we shall understand the fullness there is in Christ."
