- Text transcribed from caption: P-30488 NAMED TO METHODIST “HALL OF FAME” EVANSTON, Ill. -- A Negro has been named to the Methodist Hall of Fame in Philanthropy for the first time. She is Mrs. Daisy H. Stocking, for the last 18 years the unpaid administrator of the Mother Hunt Orphanage, a home for Negroes at Daytona Beach, Fla. Dr. Olin E. Oeschger, general secretary of the Methodist Board of Hospitals and Homes, said at Evanston, Ill., that Hall of Fame citations were to be presented at the annual meeting of the National Association of Methodist Hospitals and Homes at St. Louis, Mo., on Jan 28-30.
