- A day in the life of a minister.
- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MINISTER 1705 Calling in the homes of his members takes much of the time of the average Protestant minister. A word of cheer and inspiration is brought to the bedside of the aged and the ailing by Mr. Meury. Through his pastoral calls the minister helps share the burdens as well as the joys of his flock. - A day in the life of a minister.
- Description
- Text transcribed from caption: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MINISTER 1708 Typical of the average Protestant Church is the Deerpark Reformed Church of Port Jervis, New York. (Many other Protestant churches, however, are of New England or Gothic style.) Not so typical is the missing steeple (right) which was blown off in the hurricane which swept the Eastern Seaboard in September, 1944. The Rev. Edward Meury is minister of the church.
