ABORTION: CON

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Several teaching nuns from Maryland communitites

carry placards (top) as they participate in an anti-abortion rally at

the east front of the Capitol Building. Below, a delegation from

Notre Dame College in Baltimore holds a banner on the Capitol steps.

The demonstration, sponsored by Washington area Right to Life

groups, was organized to counter a pro-abortion rally being held on

the Capitol's other side at the same time. Several hundred attended

the anti-abortion rally.
