20TH ANNIVERSARY FOR LUTHERAN SERIES
David Cassidy, the popular television and singing star of The
Partridge Family, dances with actress Mary Ann Sloan in a scene from
the 20th anniversary episode of This Is The Life, the long-running
dramatic series produced by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The
episode, titled "The Grass Isn't Always Green," will be seen on more
than 500 stations around the world.
In addition to Mr. Cassidy, such stars as Angie Dickinson,
Virginia Christine (the "Mrs. Olson" from the coffee commercial),
Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek, Mission Impossible), Adam West (Batman)
have appeared on This Is the Life.
Lutheran Television, which produced the program for the
Missouri Synod, last year issued its first "special" -- a children's
cartoon feature titled "Christmas Is." Shown in prime time on
top television stations, the program won an audience of more than
25 million and expects to top that in this year's showing.
