Description:
One of the means of "outreach" at Guacio is the Sunday afternoon services that are held in the homes of the Jibaro. Although attended mostly by children, it is through them that we hope to eventually reach some of the adults.

Description:
Preparing for Mother's Arrival. It is almost 5:30 and this worker is dressing Osvaldo in his own clothes before he goes home. In the morning when the children come to the Nursery they are changed into clean play clothes which they wear only at the nursery. This is made possible through the contributions received from missionary societies. Because of the limited supply of play suits it is necessary for the laundress to wash daily.

Description:
Bath time is a welcome event. For many of the children this is only bath time because of the lack of facilities in their crowded living quarters. Reuben is 9 months old. Many of the boy babies do not have their hair cut until they are over a year old, primarily because of a promise made by the mother to some saint, according to the Roman Catholic belief in Latin American countries. The presence of Roman Catholic children in the nursery give us a wonderful opportunity to give witness for the Protestant faith.
