SEATTLE, Wash. -- An ecumenical first for Seattle: a Catholic priest teaches
Sunday School at a Protestant church. Dr. Robert A. Thomas, left, minister of
University Christian church, confers with Father Michael J. Taylor, S.J., who
will lead a class of adults on 12 consecutive Sundays. Father Taylor, a
Seattle University professor, is the author of "The Protestant Liturgical
Renewal (A Catholic Viewpoint)," which has been well received throughout the
country. Dr. Thomas invited the priest to conduct a course for the
congregation's adults. Begun in early January, it is entitled: "Roman
Catholicism, a Doctrinal Dialogue." Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE
