Description:
This "Tabernacle" was erected in Phoenix, Arizona, April 1879 by the Home Missionary of the Presbyterian Board and a few Friends. In it was organized the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix June 15th 1879 and in it the services of the church were held during the summer. The frame work is cotton-wood, the roof willow, the inclosure ocotillo, a species of cactus. Dimensions 30 x 40. The parties in the foreground are the missionary, session, and others. These photos are sold in order to raise money to build a chapel. Rev. Wm. Meyer, Phoenix, Ariz.
