Description:
"Eager young doctors in training make this room one of the most popular, but unfortunately most of the reading material is of ancient vintage. a pressing need is for up-to-date books and magazines to satisfy the demand for information on medical advances of the past decade. Most of the doctors read English fairly well. Dr. Moffett, acting Supt. in the absence of Dr. R.K. Smith who is home on furlough, brushes up on some material for an evening medical class, while Dr. Whong browses by the bookcase. He is Asst. Supt. and Chief of Medicine, a graduate of the Univ. of Pittsburgh Medical School with post-graduate work at Tulaneapos;s School of Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, and with a post-war degree in Public Health from Harvard."
