Description:
(Korea) Chosen. Students who were acquitted after year's imprisonment during Korean Conspiracy Trial. Taken October 12, 1912. "Found innocent after a years imprisonment. The above date, Oct. 1912, is questionable. The conspiracy case was not settled till the spring or summer of 1914 although it is possible the men in this picture were found innocent and released by the lower court in Oct. 1912. Those found guilty at this time carried their case to a higher court in Seoul. With my mother, some of whose students at Soongsil College were on trial, I attended a session of this court in Feb. 1914. Most of these were released by the higher court later that spring or early summer." - Rev. Baird, April '73.
