The Gospel from covered wagon to plane.
Text transcribed from caption: 3952 THE GOSPEL FROM COVERED WAGON TO PLANE TULSA, Okla. -- Rev. Jinks Harris, former cowboy and silent movie villain, stands beside his Piper Cub in which he tours the country as an evangelist. He first came to Oklahoma when it was known as the Indian Territory, arriving in a covered wagon in 1898. The third generation of a preaching family, he learned to fly in 1938 because “I feel I’m reachin’ more of them if I get to a lot of places.” Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE PHOTO (RM-TU-MES-6B-6-W)
