Text transcribed from caption: 16,000 ATTEND ‘SERVICE OF WITNESS’ #s-3477 TORONTO -- Canadian Protestants crowd Maple Leaf Gardens here for a “service of witness” sponsored by the Canadian Council of Churches. The inter-denominational assembly drew thousands more who, unable to enter the stadium, went to nearby churches where loud-speaking equipment had been installed. In background above is shown the massed choir of 1,200 representing 200 Toronto and district churches. Orchestra is the Toronto Symphony. Leaders of six denominations in Canada jointly conducted the service. Credit Must Read: RELIGIOUS NEWS SERVICE PHOTO (TS-MES-5B-6-W)
