Text transcribed from caption: RABBI GETS NEW HUNGARIAN ARMY POST #1879 BUDAPEST -- Head of the newly-created office of Jewish chaplains of the Hungarian Army is Rabbi Ferenc Hevesi (left). First to hold the post, Rabbi Hevesi will have 12 chaplains under his direction, including his assistant, 1/Lt. Rabbi Benoe Morganstern (right). Chief task of the new office is to care for Jews returning from forced labor camps in Russia, as they have the status of soldiers and are entitled to demobilization, money and clothes.
