Text transcribed from caption: GERMANY’S METHODIST BISHOP #1264 BERLIN -- Dr. F. H. Otto Melle is the Methodist Bishop of Germany, and a leading temperance crusader on the Continent. A resident of Berlin, Dr. Melle formerly was director of the Methodist Theological Seminary at Frankfurt am Main, largest free-church institute of its kind in Europe. One of the first Germans to visit the U.S. after World War 1, Bishop Melle often has been a delegate to the General Conference of the Methodist Church.
